About us

Prof. Dr. Juergen Eckel, CEO of Eckel Research Consulting, is a Professor of Clinical Biochemistry at the University of Düsseldorf since 1992. He is a world-known expert in the field of obesity, type 2 diabetes, adipose tissue biology and organ crosstalk.  

Prof. Eckel was Chairman of a large European network and coordinator of the FP7 EU project ADAPT. He is Editor-in-Chief of APB and on the Editorial Board of several journals. He serves as a reviewer for many national and international research funding agencies, and is member of Advisory Panels of several companies. 

Prof. Eckel has published more than 200 research papers with more than 5000 citations.
